Daisy Hasan

Daisy Hasan was born in India in 1974, and grew up in the politically restive environment of Shillong in the 1980s. Her writing reflects this period of her life when local society suddenly turned against itself. She read English Literature and Media Studies, and made an award winning film called Small Town Heroes, based in Shillong.

Daisy Hasan has a PHD from Swansea University and is lecturer at the University of Leeds; The to-Let House was published at the Jaipour Festival.
